Foods that Help You Sleep Better

Getting proper sleep helps to cure many diseases. Proper sound sleep is very much necessary for healthy body and mind. It also helps to keep you away from stress and depression. Shut eye sleep helps to keep your skin glowing and also helps your brain to work more effectively. Proper sleep reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Most of the people are facing this problem of improper sleep. Adding some food in your diet will help you to sleep better.

Food that help you sleep better are:

Rice 
Rice helps you to sleep better. Rice has carbohydrate which helps to have a tight sleep, especially high glacemic index Jasmine or white Rice which helps to trigger more insulin which allows your body to have a relaxed sleep.

Fish
Various fishes are boosted with vitamin B6 which helps to develop a sleep induction hormone named melatonin which is triggered in darkness, which helps you to sleep better. Fishes like salmon, tuna are very helpful in this matter.

Tart Cherry Juice
Tart cherry juice twice a day will help you to sleep better as it is rich in melatonin.

Yogurt
Yogurt and other dairy products such as milk which are rich in calcium has been proved beneficial to have a good sleep. As researches say that deficiency of calcium in body may lead to bad sleep.

Green leafy vegetables
Proper amount of minerals and vitamins are required to beat the body deficiency, so green leafy vegetables are too much essential to get a proper sleep. Vegetables such as Kale, Collard, and Spinach are good source of vitamins, calcium and other minerals.

Whole grains- source of magnesium
Whole grains such as barley, various cereals and dals which are rich in magnesium are very effective for good sleep.

Banana
Banana is also a good source of melatonin which helps your body to release melatonin as it is a good source of vitamin B6.

Walnut
Walnut helps to release trytophan which is a sleep inducing amino acid that helps to fix the body cycle, thus enhances proper sleep.

Almonds
Almonds are rich in magnesium, which helps to have a good sound sleep.

Chickpeas
Chickpeas are also very good source of vitamin B6 which helps to release melatonin that contributes to good quality sleep.

Cereal
Cereal with milk is both rich source of calcium and carbohydrate. One bowl of your favorite cereal before sleep will help you to sleep better.

Chamomile Tea rich in glycine, Passion fruit Tea rich in Harman alkaloid, Honey, Hummus also helps to have a better sleep. Also have a regular exercise in the morning which will help you to sleep better.
